Data Storage
All VA data must be stored behind the VA firewall. PHI and PII can be stored in these folders, since they are behind the VA firewall. For investigators conducting research that falls under Clinical Science, Basic Science, or Rehab, your data must be stored on the S Drive in your own Data Security folder. Please see the following path:

Investigators will be assigned a folder, identified by their last name and first initial. Study team members are allowed access to this folder and can create the necessary subfolders to organize grants, projects, regulatory binders, etc.
To have a folder created for you or to gain access to a folder, please contact Lizzy Koester (Elizabeth.Koester@va.gov) or Christine Basmajian (Christine.Basmajian@va.gov).
These folders may be audited by the Office of Research Oversight, so please be sure that your VA data is stored in your folder.
